I H O P E Y O U ' R E P R O U D
Dear mother,
I don’t show it but I feel guilty when I see
How your bill prices go up monthly
Or when the money in your pocket decreases rapidly
Paying for college will make your troubles like your bills
Everything is expensive now and I’m sorry but still
Your words of encouragement drive me to better my skill
One day when I finish, I hope to make enough so your payments won’t ever get off-track
Until then though I know that you’ll always have my back
‘ts not common, I suppose, for children and their parent to be so close, but
Reasoning being I can talk to you about anything and everything under the sun
Even though I tend to procrastinate a lot, I’ll make a
Promise to stop that habit and try hard and give everything my best shot
Ready yourself for the future, but try to stand your ground now, because
One day, in the near future, when I’m experienced and there’s wrinkles about your brow
Under the sun we’ll be talking again, in an extravagant little house, so
Do continue to believe and support me, because soon I’ll be able to make you proud
Sincerely, your thankful daughter.Something wrong with this poem?
