I Had Two Dreams
I had a dream that I failed. I had a dream that I proved every person who doubted me right. I had a dream that I became those words that people called me. I had a dream that I disappointed my dad. I had a dream that one of my close family members died. I had a dream that I was lonely. I had a dream that God talked to me and said, “depart from me”.
I had a dream that I was the first black young women to earn my doctoral degree in nursing and owning my own practice. I had a dream that I bought my mom her very first house to live in. I had a dream that I put money in my mom pocket. I had a dream that I bought my dad his dream car. I had a dream that I forgave every naysayer who tried to put me down. I had a dream that I put all three of my brothers in college. I had a dream that I got my uncle off drugs. I had a dream that I saved my cousin from dying. I had a dream that I saved my aunt from dying from cancer. I had a dream that I brought my family back together. I had a dream that I talked to God. I had a dream that I was successful, and I completed my calling in life. I had a dream that God told me, "Well Done".
