I Hate That I Miss You

I hate that you aren't

Here,

Yet I love that you

Are gone.

I hate that you have

Died,

Yet I love that you

Are dead.

I hate that you lost

Your candlelit smile,

Yet I love that the

Candle has been blown out.

I hate that your eyes

No longer precipitate,

Yet I love that your eyes

No longer storm.

I hate that I miss

You so,

Yet I love the silence

That holds me tight.

Point blank--I love you,

And I wish you had

Never gotten shot!

Yet I wish they had

Never missed!
