I hate you, because I loved you

Because I love you, I always give you second chances

I never question your lies or whys

And I ignored the wine.

Because I love you, I never cut you off.

Because I love you, I introduce you to my friends

But, I always tell them about the pain you cause me

Because I love you, I cry alone in my room

Dark and cold.

Because I love you, I hang up the phone when you cry

Because it hurts

Because I love you, I sit through the pain

And even though it is just a relationship

It’s ours

And I hate it, because without it, I would be incomplete.
