I Hate Your Way

I remember so clearly, so vividly The moment you said you didn’t love me A dagger in the chest And so drew the blade Across my wrists And screamed how I hated you for this So painful was the day when you went away I hate your way I hate you I hate what you’ve done What you’ve done to me So make this complete Say you hate me I know I don’t exist in your eyes No I don’t have a place in your life So before I begin Trying to make amends Trying to mend What was once written in cement And etched in stone I’m only skin and bone It seems I lost heart and soul Somewhere along the way I hate your way I hate you I hate what you’ve done What you’ve done to me So make this complete Say you hate me I am incomplete These empty streets filled with all the lost souls of the ones who lost their way In darkness they shall stay Never seeing day Just surviving through the night This isn’t living, this isn’t life But it is all I have This is who I am So enjoy your stay In your life of black and gray And for the lost men like me who lost life one day Whose flesh has since decayed I stand and I pray For the souls that lost their way But as for you I hate your way I hate you I hate what you’ve done What you’ve done to me So make this complete Say you hate me I hate you
