I Have A Desire

I have a desire,

to speak out,

speak out with a word that will turn to movement

to be there,

be there to hold onto the hands of those who stand with me

I have a desire,

to make a change,

a change that will improve the unity of the nation,

to pray,

pray for the weak who can not stand alone,

I have a desire,

to laugh,

laugh at the statement, “you’re just a child”,

to be a light,

a light for the ones that walk in the dark,

I have the desire,

to learn,

learn from the mistakes from my past,

to have faith,

faith that this change will only get bigger,

I have a desire,

to shake hands,

shake the hands of my enemies as we make an alliance

to smile,

smile at the impact I have made,

I have the desire,

to feed,

feed off of the good energy of others as well as feeding the hungry,

I have the desire,

to teach,

teach others that they too can make a change,

I have the desire,

to protect,

protect the ones that have protected us all for so long,

to move,

move the mountain that has been in my way for far too long,

I have the desire,

to inspire

Yes that’s right,

Inspire,

Inspire not only my generation, but generations to come,

So that they too can have the desire to inspire.
