i have a dream
i have a dream
not one of those
famous ones that can
save the human race
or make this world
a better place
i have a dream
there is darkness
all around me but
there in the distance
i see a light
barely in existence
i have a dream
the light gets bigger
and the shell that
was once my cage
is ripped open with
such intense rage
i have a dream
the emptiness inside me
gets filed up with
such a powerful light
shining i have never
felt so bright
i have a dream
the rain from my
face has never tasted
so clean i touch
my chest how i
missed so much
i have a dream
i’m free of this
prison this nightmarish hell
i finally can see
the sun that was
hidden from me
i have a dream
and sometimes it’s real
i’m in a world
i thought had forsaken
me i am happy
until i awaken
i have a dream.
