I Have Feelings Too
Gulp, Gulp, Gulp.
The poisonous liquid rushes down
Alcohol.
Stop!
Hello?
Do you hear me?
I am the thing that keeps you alive.
Contracting.
Releasing.
I am like the sea that gives life to fish.
The water that gives life to the plants.
I give life to you.
But yet you sit here throwing darts at me.
As the poison rushes through my veins I become weak and ill.
Cardiomyopathy.
What it’s called when I get so stressed I begin to droop.
I can only take so much.
Stroke.
When I become so weak I can no longer support all of you.
Making it seem as if you are a fish on land
Without water.
Yes, maybe your thoughts and feelings come from the brain.
But I have feelings too.
If you have a bad day don’t try to wash it away.
When you do it destroys your inner city of life.
Flooding it.
Like a hurricane.
How about a run?
Those relieve stress.
The effects last longer anyways,
Weather you realize it now or not.
I could keep you alive much longer.
But if you chose to keep beating on a dead horse,
I have no choice but to give up.
Next time you’re stressed,
Don’t forget I have feelings too.
Do what’s really best for you.
