I have a Friend
I have a friend that's not like your's,
Not one of breath or materials worn,
Not one that speaks like others might,
Or one that stays and is my knight.
He's one of mystery and of woe,
One who'll stay until I go,
One who watches me with spite,
So he may haunt my carefree night.
Sitting, waiting, plotting, now;
I see him where the shadows howl,
A creature dark and full of fright,
Hoping to snuff out my light.
I have a friend who's not like your's,
I have a friend I don't want anymore,
But to be cautious of his feelings,
I guess I'll suffer through his beatings.
