I Have A Joke For That

I was once asked

 Why I was a catch

And I gave them a reason

That didn't mean treason

And that was a reason to laugh

It has always been my style

To make people smile

And pass their time with a laugh

And at the end of the day that's what matters

A joke or a pun, conversations with me can be daft

So I keep in my my mind

A collection of kinds

Of jokes and quotes to use

For any situation

To unleash on any lit fuse

When someone is dreary

I try to be cheery

To brighten their day

Be the silver cloud lining

And found I can with what I say

I have found it true

That what a poor day calls to do

Is to laugh it off with a friend

And a friend is a someone who will always be there

All the way to the end
