I Have a Question

6 months ago we were sitting in our homes, Cold stealing the warm from our hands, While white sheets pelt the grass’ husk outside the windows. Short days wished longer, Long nights wished shorter. The world is still innocent. 5 months ago we were watching in our homes, Tears cascading down our reddened cheeks, The long dead grass is tainted with young blood. Clouds shade dimly, Sun burns brightly. The world is still ignorant. 3 months ago we were pacing in our homes, Dread flashes through the collective mind, Fear radiates global threats. Days hustle by, Our friends look to the sky. The world is still shameful. This month we are no longer in our homes, Anger rages through the populace, The nation sees a man-hunt. People lose sight, Earth is growing darker still The world is still young. How much must the world suffer?
