I have seen this before

I have seen this before In a book I suppose The moon at full Reflected off a silk sheet of indigo water Nightfall has been its companion for centuries And you see the same moon under the same sky in the same spot way way way up there as everyone else in the world except the difference is I I see it as a beautiful song that rises higher and higher and lulls me to sleep like my father did when I was just as small as the moon looks tonight way way way up there Sitting still Waiting for nightfall to show its reflection off pier 187 as my feet dangle as I sip from the steaming cup that warms my chapped palms It is something I have seen before In a book I suppose
