I Have Survived

When you hurt, when you cry, you just don’t wanna try, you just want to give up,

but don’t, trust me I know.

I’ve been hurt, but I didn’t stop, not till I made it to the top.

The black top court is where it happened.

I played and I prayed and look where I am.

I am here I’m alive and ready to thrive, I sprained my ankle but have revived.

I could have given up but I didn’t, I was hurt but I stayed strong,

since no one believed I had to prove them wrong, and I did, I am fine, but the life I live isn’t mine.

It belongs to someone bigger and stronger, yet here I am,

I have survived.
