I have their bones

Location

I'm afraid of the dark

A creeping sense of danger

I flip on the lights

There on the table

Metallic in glow

A skull of human proportions

Box it up in cardboard

Save it for another day

Another life gone, extinguished

With the flipping of the light

A girl lies in a cage

Threatened by the boy next door

He has a knife

Shes been stuck between those iron bars

Not knowing how long she'll be left to live

I want to save her

But I'm afraid of those bars

That one day I'll be stuck behind them

Trapped by the screams

Of those who sit in the cardboard boxes

Stacked against my desk

Will I ever find who killed them
