I have to write about you
You wonder why I write so much about you
when you definitely were never the most important
person in your life; you are wrong.
You were the most important person in my life
albeit for a brief time, but
brevity doesn't matter, it
never matters in issues of the heart.
You wonder why I write so much about you
and I don't write about the others, the ones
that meant more to me in their time. You see,
it's because their time is long gone, and yours
only just finished, in fact it still goes on,
it still hurts, and the blood is fresh.
You wonder why I write so much about you.
They say to write what you know, and for months,
loving you was all I could hope to know.
