I Haven't Seen A Rainbow In Forever

I’m afraid

Of two things.

This isn’t to say

That I am not afraid

Of other things

But

My fear of deep, dark,

cold waters,

And the places on Earth

That the light doesn’t reach

Are quite constant.

It might be because

Of the things that lurk there,

But I think its because

I know I won’t make it

Onto the Ark.

And I’ve heard of what lies

Below Marianas Trench.

And its been raining for days.

And only humans could ever be godless.

Hello! I'm a 16 year old girl with autism, and I've just started writing poems as an outlet to my less-linear ideas that I can't put into essays. I love science and literature, and I especially love to combine the two. I draw a bit, but not much that I like to share. I'm also on tumblr @p-a-lom-a and I'm doing NaNoWriMo 2019 under the same username.
