I hear America Rapping

I hear America rapping, the varied verses I hear, Those of the mechanics, fixing my car So I can go far. The teacher rapping and rhyming the Old tune of the ABC’s The grape-pickers rapping, while they Oh so diligently work for little To no money. The students rapping their reading, writing, And arithmetic, with known yet soft Groans. The mothers rapping their unconditional Love to their children. The fathers rapping the basics to Their little boys of America’s Old ball game. The churches rapping their praises to Their God and making it known That they believe. The President rapping, bringing America Together assuring people they don’t Have to be living lies. Each rapping and constructing America to become their own Utopia. Rapping with a voice of American Pride so that they can experience Their own lives.
