I heard the hatred


I heard the hatred in your voice

I am your child but never by choice.

I seen the splendor in your eyes when

you seen a tear in my eyes.

My heart raced for perfection

You were the first to tell me I couldn't achieve

you said I was too weak , I wore my heart on my sleeve.

Sitting on the side lines listening to you degrade me at my college

graduation, you wished you could trade me for the first time and I 

seen it in your eyes ...
