I Heard Your Voice

I Heard Your Voice As I slept deeply last night you appeared in my dreams Your wore a black cap black shirt and blue jeans You said hello reached out for my hand as you held my car door We begin to walk down your street like we did many times before You whispered babe I miss you and I want you back Sorry for the time wasted and for the way that I act You said you were searching for happiness in another lover But you realized that with me there is no other You kissed my hand and you held it close to your heart You said I love you nena, let’s make a new start In my dream I was speechless and felt kind of scared I wanted to hold you in my arms and in your eyes stare When I looked up to your eyes, your face I could not see It was all a blur like a stranger looking down at me I thought to myself this is not him the man I once knew This is an imposter who has taking over you Heavy breathing and sweat rolled down my cheek My heart started to pound, got cold feet I pulled away, stepped back with tension in the air Then I realized …you weren’t there You disappeared into thin air once again My man, my lover, my life, my best friend Was gone I woke up with sadness in my soul Will I ever see you again? I guess God only knows Dolvas 5/4/13
