I heard your voice ring

I heard your voice ring out from a mile away.
I turned and saw the sun gleaming behind you.
Like your God handpicked you for me.
I stood abroad and took you in. I let your rays soak into me.
It felt so good to be out of the darkness for a small while.

I would've loved you, but I had already made my pact with my demons.
And they had the intentions of ruining me, forever.

You were made to love me unconditionally. And I was made to ruin you,
You were sent to save me; and in return, in their favour, I was sent to destroy you.

My name isn’t Delilah, but Hello, nice to meet you.
