i help
there was a kid in trouble
i spoke to him reminding him that he is better
he did
he tried to rob a liquor store and was shot in broad daylight
then there was a homeless man
i gave him change to buy coffee
he spent the change
buying beer and passing out on subway benches
there was a girl about to get jumped
i called for help
now, i'm the biggest snitch on the block
on my way home because i was on the clock
i went to lunch and a man was choking
i punched him in his stomach
i cracked a rib that punctured his lung
i mean, i try to help
but nothing seems to go right at all
none the less, i always stand tall
now i'm off to work saving lives in school
