I Hold In My Hand

I hold in my hand, a world of peace,
A world that’s filled with love.
Where thoughts of war have fully ceased,
When classmates won’t fight, push or shove.

In the night when all is silent,
There is no one to make you poor.
You are safe though locks unfastened,
For no thief will breach your door.

Where the aged, young, and weak
Are entirely provided for.
When your relatives and the kin of others
Alike, are warmly adored.

Just the Worthy hold posts of power
And won’t abuse their authority.
Unemployment is unknown at any hour
For all have a job to oversee.

In this world from Chile, to China, to France,
One thing for sure will never arise
Is a nuclear war will have the chance
Of blasting our cities to the skies…

I wish this kind of world would last,
It is so fragile yet strong,
Please do not end it all that fast.
Please do not make it all go wrong.

So it is up to you to ensure
That this will eventually be,
One that will continue to endure,
A grand reality…
