I Just Can't Be Quiet

Dear Oppressor,

My voiced will not be silenced

My age, gender, curly hair, and colored skin ain't violent

I respect your authority

But minorities are currently the world's majority

I will not fall victim to your sanctions

My black brothers going to jail won't be your main attraction

My black sisters' pregnancies won't be classified as their specialties

Neglected, abused and dark-skinned are labels for perplex penalties?

My lip will not stay shut

Whether my words hit your brains or gut

Oppression being a clear alignment

My voice will not be silenced

Thanks Sincerely,

Jaquira AKA the stressor
