I Just Need Time

Try to explain it she begs me I need to know how you feel And i try I stutter out words Unexplainable thoughts and fragments Broken shards with little meaning Bad, angry, hurricane of confusion and violence I don't know! I scream I lash out at her, wanting to hurt To make her bleed So i guess i'm a masochist I insist on making my own self unhappy You reach out a hand into this And i warn you to pull back before it gets cut off You can't know the danger you're in as you try to help Implode, just let me tear up my insides Until there's nothing left any longer I'll calm down and give myself to the wind Let go of the upset so that i may remember to smile I'll float away to join the clouds and stroke their surfaces Releasing it all to grasp at happiness And i know you'll be there, pulling me along Laughing at your own jokes so that i may join you Blowing kisses, stealing my hand, and pulling me in for hugs You ask what i need and i tell you I just need time
