I Just Want To Go On A Walk
Power reeks when planted in the wrong hands.
Sometimes people are blind, I can't understand.
How there's all of this talking,
but more refusal to take a stand.
Down the sidewalk I enjoy walking,
side by side with those I call my friend.
But by the time we're done talking,
the darker have disappeared off the land.
Men in mask haunt the roads, stalking
papers and identification, they command.
Heads into windows they're bashing,
I fear the violence may never come to an end.
