I knew you were the one

I knew you were the one
I knew it at first glance
But did you feel the same
Did I even have a chance
No matter how hard I try
It will never be enough
You make my heart so weak
But I try to act so tough
Nothing will ever hurt me more
Than the love you never gave
Your love is like an ocean
Getting lost inside its waves
Pages filled with stories
Of times spent with you
You said you'd be here forever
And I believe every word was true
I've never loved like this before
And I never will again
Memories I will never forget
They'll forever stay within
