I Know

I know this sounds very strange

But I can’t live on with this pain

I know things must change

In order to break off this chain

I know that you might still hate me

And that you might despise my existence

But I hope you can see

My efforts of persistence

I know how you helped me off my feet

And how you are always there

The things you do are very sweet

And I want you to know that I care

I know that you think I’m inconsiderate

And that I don’t acknowledge our time

The words I speak were not to be a hypocrite

And I would not give you up for a dime

I know that you might question why I’m doing this

After all the things that I done

Being with you gives me so much bliss

And that I wouldn’t write this for anyone.

I know you have a lot on your mind

That you need a lot of time to comprehend

I want to put our problems behind

And I hope that we can start over again
