I Know How to Fly

I got ambition. And intelligence. With a hint of recklessness.

You cut me off on the freeway; you better believe I’m riding on your ass.

And when opportunity hits, speedometer reads 90 on the dash.

No Facebook, no twitter, only 30 followers on IG.

I can keep a conversation and I hate texting.

Let’s sit down together like old folk.

Conversate about how this world is going broke.

Jumped off a cliff and found myself soaked.

There goes another moment missing in action.

Cheers to the painful satisfaction.

Speaking of broke, I pay my way through college.

Semester after semester, I feed myself with knowledge.

I have two friends, and six other people I would die for.

I call them my family, and that’s the only thing I live for.

In the meantime, while you’re trying to figure me out.

I live in peace because I know myself without a doubt.

That’s part of being humble, content with your own decisions.

You don’t have to look at me twice to boost my confidence.

I know damn right I’m beautiful with a little taste of awesomeness.

And no me and Kanye West are nothing alike.

I can complement myself and remain polite.

Killing em’ with kindness is my favorite kind of weapon.

Because ignorant people don’t know how to listen...nonetheless know how to respond to it.

At the end of the day, I can say I’m alive.

Living without boundaries, with a purpose and a drive.

By the way they call me Birdy, and I can teach you too how to fly.
