I know how it feels&

I know how it feels

Were 5, it’s fine.

Its bright outside.

I just want to play with the other kids, although they don’t know me.

Were 9, School is performing at recess and crushing on boys

and girls — I think.

Im 13 and things are changing, my body is rearranging.

My mom is suddenly strict and my friends are smoking what looks like sticks.

16 and scared.

Why are my friends disappearing? Why are they being killed and arrested?

Why am I scared of my own home?

Now I’m 17 about to 18, “a legal adult”. I can’t be an adult. I can’t even kill a spider on my own.
