I know I'm not a kid anymore
I was 16 when I first got a job and started college,
thank you to everyone who told me I was growing up but you're wrong I've been grown
Although this is not when I grew up
The day I grew up was a busy and stressful day.
Too many things to handle for just one person,
I like to think anyone else would have gone crazy.
On the day I grew I had my two younger siblings and my two younger cousins,
they were hard to control and wanted way too much candy.
My mom was cleaning the house, a nice house.
It was the first house I ever lived in, now I'm scared of houses and spiders.
She was sweeping up a furball until the furball grew legs and crawled across her foot.
I learned what a panic attack was that day, I also learned that I already felt how a panic attack felt
My mom stutters and cries as she tells me how I can calm down my own as I try to calm down hers.
This is the first time I called an ambulance, they get their 30 minutes later.
I am left alone with my screaming family as they take my mom away.
It's thirty minutes before an adult tells me someone will be with us soon, I didn't know five hours is soon.
During this time I put on cartoons and finish my homework for the next day.
I realize that no one is always around to help, I also realized you can't count on parents.
The next day my mom is back and I go to school not realizing I know what it means to be grown,
but at least I still had the second-grade festival to look forward to the next day.
I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have, but things happen I guess.
I've grown for 10 years, I'm 17 now
