I Know of Mental Illness

I know of mental illnesses, the tormented minds that they live in,
The mother with paranoia because she has never felt security for herself and her family,
The teenager with anxiety because everyone leaves because she isn’t good enough,
The brother in law with addiction and the want and need to drink and smoke,
The daughter with Oppositional defiant disorder screaming and yelling to hurt others,
The father with depression because he has had everything taken away and can never be the same,
The sister with an Eating Disorder because she doesn’t like what she sees in the mirror,
Each not accepting who they are, but pretending they're fine or they go by unseen.
Each illness making them who they are, following them throughout the life with sadness, loneliness,
Hoping one day, they could feel better than fine.
