I Know What You Think

He's a failure

In my class he won't survive

17 and black?

I'm surprised he's alive

He's just a stupid football player

Is that all you think I am?

Just another statistic?

Disgracing Uncle Sam?

He's one of them

One of who? I am my own person

At least I try to be

But if this is who you see is it really workin'

But I am more than what you think I am

I'm pretty sound academically

When you talk about bad students

Very seldom will you mention me

You're just a teacher

I'm just a student

And the way you prejudge me

just makes you look so stupid
