I Know Why the Black Swan Continues to Swim

I know why the black swan continues to swim, holding hopes to find herself swimming with him, Silently searching a counterpart unknown, gliding on glass to find love on her own. The white swan’s heart rests easy, it may, but the black swans heart is broken today. Love comes easy for a girl dressed in white. A girl dressed in black blends in with the night. Even in the light, the black swan is lost. A sea of white fills the pond across. But across that pond a heart beats for the lady in black. She swims toward the rhythm without looking back. Though the black swan may not find love at first, she continues to swim to find the cure to her curse. To find love in another that swims miles away. I know why I chose to swim today.
