I Know You Can.

They say you only hurt the ones you love

But what about the ones that you think love you?

When it turns out they’re not who you thought they were

That can hurt you too

Love isn’t always one-sided

But sometimes it takes time to truly know 

You put yourself at risk 

When you let yourself go

The first time they let you down — 

You know there’s no such thing as a perfect fairy tale,

Sometimes they have a crooked crown 

“I messed up, but you should forgive me.

Why? Because I love you,

And you will if you love me”

And then it happens again and again

They don't make you a better person;

They’re your weak spot,

Your biggest sin

You forget how much you’re worth and forgive like it’s nothing

You can’t let them go

You think you wouldn’t know how to function

Relationships mean sacrificing 

But there’s a line you cannot pass

You found love once,

It doesn’t have to be the last

“Because I love you”--

Saying those four words doesn't make the feeling true

Manipulation is an art

It can be painted any way

You’re hurting on the inside but the words make you want to stay

Don’t be weak

Stand up then and there 

You were built to make it on your own

Even if you still care 

When you get wrong treatment enough, you lose self-respect, you succumb

You just want to feel loved but instead you feel numb

Know the difference 

Real love is in the greater plan

Don’t settle for less than you deserve
