I Know You Love Me

Because I love you, every second we are apart, I'm okay because I know that I'll see you soon.

Because I love you, hours feel like minutes, and minutes feel like seconds, because time truly flies with you.

Because I love you, I have more friends, because I know I have one secure relationship in my corner.

Because I love you, the thought of time apart physically hurts me.

Because I love you, I trust you to hear my bad jokes, and listen to my random thoughts.

Because I love you, we can laugh at my unshaven legs and your scraggly beard and still consider each other perfect.

Because I love you, I can let my guard down, and get to see a side of myself even I haven't seen before.

Because I love you, I know that I am lovable, and deserve to be loved.

Because I love you, I see that I am an important part of a relationship, and I feel that I am cared for.

Because I love you, I've learned that you love me back just as much.

And because I love you, I've learned to love myself.
