As I leave for college

I never thought I could care for someone

As deeply and dearly as I do you.

Although I fail, I feel like I have won

Because with you, my happiness is true.

I wish to never live to see the day

When you are not smiling by my side.

I know in a short time I'll go away-

The very thought nearly kills me inside.

But my love for you will go on and on

And withstand the treacherous test of time.

I'll still care for you long after I'm gone

Because forgetting you would be a crime.

The best little sister you'll always be

And you'll always mean the world to me.
