I lika me

My daughter is an amazing girl

she was all red shoes and ponys and give it a twirl

she said early "I lika me"

her sassy, smart,  cuteness was for all to see

In a blink of eye childhood was gone

she went on and we were alone

off to school here and there

she finished with celebration in charleston square

she is talented and smart with skills

off she went climbing legal hills

success she earned through hard labor

that she can now pause to savor

so we smile when we see

that little girl and we think- I lika me.
