As I Live and Breathe

Everyday, you gave me new opportunites.

To laugh, to cry, to hate, to love;

To be able to feel it all.

I had questioned your plans for me;

I questioned if you knew what you were doing.

I see now you do.

I feel you when you knock me off my feet;

And when I can rise to be stronger.

I feel you on nights out,

With nowhere to be and time to reflect on your purpose.

You allowed me to experience hate, pain, and anger;

But also love, joy, and acceptance.

You enabled me to grow;

And aspire for a better tomorrow.

Thank you for the adventures and stories;

Thank you for the heartbreaks and downfalls;

Thank you for teaching me many things,

And still continuing to do so.

Thank you.
