I live in shame everyday.

I live in shame everyday.

Knowing that I will never look the same.

My hair won't be blonde and feel like silk.

My skin won't ever be the color of milk.

With hair so kinky and curly you can't imagine

Something I bet no one would fathom.

My skin so dark, yes dark as night.

It is only who myslef, yes, I fight.

I don't want you to think that I hate myself.

Or that I might never appretiate myself.

For yes, I know I can't change.

Until I get some money and some more cahnge.

I love my kinky hair and dark as night skin.

Beacuse if i didn't have those,

how would this poem end?
