I LIVE IN THIS WORLD MENTALLY

I LIVE IN THIS WORLD MENTALLY

I live in this strange world indeed;

in a never, never land,

of not feeling okay

to spend my day,

trying to adjust from a what before,

what before my date into?

of into mental health wards,

increase of pills,

and terrible thoughts

and aimless thinking’s of no escape;

of what am I doing here.

endless days of getting ready

for treatment of me head,

and in hoping so

they will do the trick,

of making me tick,

into thinking out loud I am well mentally,

and do I have to stay here

for longer more than I can cope,

sometimes feelings of no hope,

till there came a time

of first chances,

first chance of escape

from a system of little freedom,

and uncontrolled thoughts

of being locked away permanently!

and now;

I try,

I try to cope mentally,

into hoping

I’m on track,

and away,

away from the wards.

and now;

each day same

of flat mornings which is a shame,

and many shades of grey,

and wondering

do I need to go back?

into another stint

of being back,

into for me a world of uncertainty,

and hoping for

to be well mentally,

but I am now

hoping each day will bring a new certainty,

of renewed thoughts;

of what had happened before

and that I can cope,

and for that there is always hope

of another day at home to spend my days.
