I Lived in a Land of Snow and Stone

I lived in a land of snow and stone.

A warrior’s dream come true,

A fight to be had around every corner.

This home of mine is ancient... long proud history…

I lived in a land of snow and stone...

Once upon a time.

Mist clung low,

I looked around and saw…

Saw men run and halt and fall,

Rising only to fall and never rise again.

I fought that warrior’s dream,

Paid in blood for a sight that’ll never leave.

I had looked around and seen...

I had seen that warrior’s dream…

Once upon a time.

I have been on the mountain,

Where the clouds are white, the sky blue,

And the sun shining true.

I have been on the mountain,

where we mourn our dead.

I always have to hear it outloud…

On that day, the day no one heard…

The day you all died

Because no one could hear.

Once upon a time,

They would’ve listened.

That day was cursed when I lived,

blessed when they finally heard... no,

Saw the blood and ash covering the snow.

It was only then...

Only in dreams and in stories

do I get to escape...

To the lands we once explored,

The inn where we laughed over an ale...

I lived in a land of snow and stone,

Lived in an ancient home…

That had no ears but red skin and ashen hair.

I wish back to a time,

Where I wasn’t the only one alive...

Once upon a time.
