I long to be.....

I long to be a mother, to keep my child warm, and know that his or her dad will keep them safe from harm. I long to be a mother to raise my kids up right, and tell them that I love them each and every night. I long to be a mother to raise my kids with pride, and let them know that I will always be by their side. I long to be a mother to watch my children grow, but this feeling of happiness I will never know.

I guess I'm glad I got my point across....

The imagery in this poem is very strong. Also, the repetition is a great strategy to use to get your point across to the reader.
