i long for a friend

i long for a friend i can share my life with

one who i can confide in

one who doesn't forget, or leave me out of things

my complete opposite, but somehow my twin

they will tell when i'm wrong but won't make me feel bad about it

they will comfort me when i am distraught

one who i can stay up with until 4am on facetime

one who will want to spend time with me out of alma mater

one who shares interests with me and is open to new things

i long for a friend i can share my life with

i'm just sick and tired of waiting
