I Lost A Friend

It was an instant goodbye

I began to cry

I lost a friend

Oh Dear God, why?

Praying and begging

for you to come back

5 weeks later

I still haven't heard back

I lost a friend

God tell me why?

Wiping my eyes

I can finally see

The sign...

You pushed me, telling me stay away

Forcing me to do nothing, but say ok

If I ever hear from you again

I want say "thank you for everything,

That you put me through"

You made me a stronger person

And now it's clear to me

That I never lost a friend

They lost me...
