I love life but not living

Fresh out of childhoods womb

I am quickly sumbmerged by doom

I  want to choose living, not life,

and I don't mean I want to slit my wrists with a knife

Working a 9-5 job is a terrifying reality

and the thought  of it is taking control of my sanity

I have no idea what to do

Do I sit here, and think this through?

I choose not to keep up with the latest trends

and settle for temporary friends

I don't want my brain to grow mold

by the faulty truths we are being sold

So,what the fuck do I do?

Should I just be through?

Do I buy into the faulty truths being sold

and mask my brain with mold?

Do I conform to the trendiest trends

and label strangers as my friends?

Do I accept the 9-5 reality

and wave goodbye to my sanity?

Maybe I shouldn't choose living or life

and maybe I should slit both my wrists with a knife

I want to crawl back into the universe's womb

and avoid this godforsaken doom.
