I Love My Job
I Love My Job
Elegantly cleaning each crevice of the house,
Dancing rhythmically to swipe up the crust that gathers every day,
Passionately breaking my spine for those who pity my life style,
“Scrub the children's’ snot off the walls you ask? Absolutely ma’am! It’s my pleasure!”
Every night I leave the house immaculate, my head held high,
Then when I return for another days work,
I’m pleasantly delighted with a defiled, scummy corridor,
Covered with a lovely foul fume radiating from the bathroom,
Welcoming my nostrils to a day filled with easy work,
My job is exhilarating and so rewarding,
It truly gives joy to be these people’s slave.
