I love my skin

Being biracial in America is one of the hardest things i’ve ever been through. I see a confederate flag being raised and thrown in my face by multiple white kids saying the n word and don’t know whether to be offended or just let it go. My options are so limited that i have no choice. If i choose to speak out it’s me against about 50 white kids if i choose not to speak out it’s my pride and my skin that’s taking a beating. I hear your racial slurs and get multiple racist jokes every single day and have to act like it’s no big deal. See here’s the thing about being biracial in America you can’t speak out of #blacklivesmatter because you aren’t necessarily “black”. If you do build up the courage and speak out you hear everyones back lashing comments about how you aren’t “truly or fully black”. You don’t and you will never fit in with the white kids because they only see you as black and somehow that makes me less than any of them. You have to sit around and and hear things and act like it doesn’t bother you or choose to speak out and get criticized for every single thing you say. People take my race and my skin as a joke. They say things and tell me not to get offended even though if i were to say exactly what they said but just put white instead of black they would be filled with anger and i  would be a racist. They don’t realize that my skin isn’t all of me. I’m a person outside of my color. I’m not like the stereotypes they have made it out to be. I am a human being and the thing is i didn’t choose to be black in America
