You saw me standing there and didn’t say a word
But neither did I because
I knew I would be ignored.
Our hearts simultaneously beating faster
Not knowing what to do
When all I really want to say is:
I LOVE YOU.
But my throat won’t open and I can’t look your way
For confliction starts to rise in a very uneasy way.
What to do when my heart is split in two.
When my heart says yes
And my head says no.
Not needing to consult the outside world
To know that wanting to love him;
It’s so wrong
It’s right
When I say those dangerous words to him:
I LOVE YOU.
