I Love You

Just breathe
inhale, exhale
in, out
up and down your chest should fall
instead your heart was made to stall.
It isn't funny,
it isn't right,
that you are here dying in my arms tonight.
you breathe your last breathe,
you shed your last tear,
and out of your eyes
I see goes the fear
-of death, of life, of sins untold,
of past experiences that made you so cold.
And with that fear, goes hand in hand,
the pride and passion
that made you
a man.
