I Love You

I love you...

I love you because you stick by my side when days are blue

When I feel like I'm going to drown

You fetch my hand to pull me up to the surface

I love you because you tolerate my friends

When we ramble on and on about our daily lives

I love you because you enjoy the weird side of me

And like to join me on my weirdness

I love you because you're willing to try new things with me

Even if it's out of your comfort zone

You're willing to do it for us

I love you because you stay by my side when I spiral down

The nonsense I say hurts you

But you continue to comfort me

I love you because you see the good in me

I say "I hate myself"

You say "But I love you"
